ARTIST STATEMENT
Metalwork has been a passion of mine since my first welding class
with the realization that my creative ideas come to life in metal. As I
transform my designs into three dimensional objects I never cease to
be fascinated by the evolution of the materials as I create. I am inclined
to work in series which lends to the exploration of a design concept,
pushing it to fruition. I find it is the spontaneity and adventure that
breaths life into a series and makes it so exciting to continue. While I
delight in giving my work a touch of function, some forms are created
simply to stimulate interest from passerby inducing a sense of intrigue
and lending beauty to a space.
